Marcus Neuroscience Institute Revolutionizes Care for South Floridians

Boca RegionalThe Marcus Neuroscience Institute is about to transform the landscape of neurological care in South Florida with its mission of providing excellent patient-centered care. The Institute fuses internationally renowned physicians with cuttingedge medicine and state-of-the-art technology.

Under the leadership of Director Robert Levy, M.D., Ph.D., the Institute is recruiting physicians of national prominence to Boca Regional. "In the past, patients had to travel to other parts of the country to see the caliber of specialists that we will soon have on staff at the Marcus Neuroscience Institute. They will be the best of the best," Dr. Levy says.

He also points out that the next generation of physicians from the new medical residency program at Florida Atlantic University's Charles E. Schmidt College of Medicine will benefit, as the Institute will create fellowship programs and bring experts in from all over the world to teach these students cutting-edge therapies for neurologic disorders.

The Institute will boast the only neurological program in South Florida that is "disease-based," with a team of specialists collaborating on comprehensive care management. "All aspects of diagnosis and treatment will be provided at MNI, emphasizing coordination, communication, and convenience for the patient," says Dr. Levy.

With lead gifts from Billi and Bernie Marcus and the Marcus Family Foundation, and Barbara and Dick Schmidt and the Schmidt Family Foundation, the Marcus Neuroscience Institute is poised to offer individualized and expert care to neurological patients. The ongoing support of donors is needed to help fund sophisticated technology, research, staffing, and programmatic needs in this highly advanced and critically important new service.

We are seeking donors who might join the effort to support the Marcus Neuroscience Institute. We invite you to leave a legacy or memorialize a loved one through a planned gift. You can also make a gift now and take advantage of the many naming opportunities still available in the new building.

Your gift now or later will impact the health and well-being of our community for years to come. Please contact Boca Raton Regional Hospital Foundation at 561-955-4142 or BRRHFoundation@baptisthealth.net to discuss your interests.
