Mark Ritter: Dedicated to Giving Back to Make Our Community a Better Place for Everyone

Mark Ritter

Mark Ritter supports Boca Regional because he wants to make a difference in the lives of others.

Mark Ritter has been a successful businessman throughout his career in construction, real estate, and banking, but when he talks about what is most important to him, he wants to make a marked difference in the lives of his family and community. He views giving as an opportunity to make that difference in a meaningful way.

Mark made his first gift to Boca Raton Regional Hospital Foundation by providing support to the Marcus Neuroscience Institute in honor of his wife, Phyllis Ritter. This first gift experience with the hospital inspired Mark to make additional gifts. In giving, he hopes to return goodness to the community in a quiet way.

"If I could tell everyone only one thing, it would be to invest your time and efforts in the community to help others, and don't let opportunities to help others pass you by. Life is short, and we are not given many chances to make a difference in the lives of those around us," he says.

The programs in the Lynn Cancer Institute, that provide clinical services and emotional and psychological support, have compelled Mark to give back again. His most recent gift named the waiting area for the Jean and David Blechman Conference Center in the Lynn Cancer Institute.

Mark's desire to make a difference in the lives of others led him to make these gifts, which have indeed changed the experience of many patients at the Marcus Neuroscience Institute and the Lynn Cancer Institute.

We are grateful for Mark's generosity to Boca Raton Regional Hospital. It is because of gifts like these that we are able to serve other families in our community with the medical care they need when they need it most. We give thanks for the many donors and friends who have made plans to include Boca Raton Regional Hospital Foundation in their giving plans. Without the kindness and vision of our donors, we would not exist today.
